Bags of Change makes ethical shopping easier and even more fashionable

Today sees the launch of the new and improved Bags of Change website plus two funky new designs of their popular eco reward bags.
BagsofChange.co.uk now has a featured shop section showcasing some of the best independent ethical retailers in the UK; new blog and shop feeds; and a new search function to enable ethical shoppers to navigate their way around the site.
There is also a dedicated product page that displays the full range of stylish shopping bags: including two new colourways of the organic cotton-hemp bag (dark blue and rust), as well as a smart new leather-look bag (pictured) made from sustainably sourced Amazonian rubber that comes with a choice of handle colours.
“Our new range of leather-look bags are fairly traded and made from natural rubber, helping to preserve the Amazon rainforest and its communities. The local tappers are paid four times the market price for the rubber and their association is FSC certified. We hope to expand the range with more fairly traded and environmentally-friendly bags in the future,” says Faith Simpson, co-founder of Bags of Change.
“It’s all about offering a greater ethical choice for the consumer.”
Bags of Change is currently affiliated with over 70 independent stores that offer discounts to people who shop with a Bags of Change branded bag. Here’s a sample of some of the discounts on offer to Bags of Change shoppers:
• 10% at Fairwind, Fairtrade furnishings in London’s Crouch End;
• 5% at Eco Age, Colin Firth’s new eco store in Chiswick;
• 5% at Grassroots, an innovative café-deli-shop in Glasgow;
• 5% discount at all seven Shared Earth stores around the UK.
